Bottling a Better Product with Nomacorc

Manufactured with an innovative, proprietary extrusion process, Nomacorc offers you the greatest flexibility when bottling your wines.

Its ease of extraction, resealability, natural aroma and woodgrain appearance make it especially attractive to winemakers.

Consistency
Nomacorcs are manufactured using consistency-based technology. The Nomacorc proprietary extrusion technology maintains constant processing conditions throughout the course of production. This technology is the fundamental building block for quality and performance. In addition, all manufacturing equipment is designed specifically for the creation of Nomacorcs. All materials are FDA compliant and must meet specific Nomacorc requirements.

The wine industry has two major concerns with wine closures, TCA and Random Oxidation. TCA (taint) is a naturally occurring component of bark cork, thus it is not a component in any of the materials used to produce Nomacorcs. Random oxidation occurs due to imperfections in a closure. This can occur in bark corks due to the natural variation in the growth patterns due to environmental conditions, insect damage and storage conditions. Random oxidation can occur in other synthetic closures due to a manufacturing technology and process conditions which affect the consistency of the cell structure of the closure. An examination of internal cell structure provides an immediate visual confirmation of the consistency of Nomacorc when compared to other synthetic closures. Using consistency-based technology, Nomacorcs provide a very consistent barrier to oxygen transmission resulting in a predictable shelf life based on the type of wine and initial SO2 levels.

Commitment to Quality
Nomacorc LLC is committed to responding to the needs of its customers and to the wine industry as a whole. This commitment is realized in the forms of Quality Assurance and Product Development. Quality Assurance is approached from two angles: traditional QA functions and quality based work teams. The quality based work teams have ownership, awareness and responsibility for continually creating a superior product.
